Jellyfish in particular, are fascinating: they ebb and flow with the tides, hide from predators and adapt throughout the day. From living by the ocean and taking diving trips, I've become well acquainted with the diverse, brightly colored sea creatures and marine plants, and they've really become a constant source of inspiration for me. Then I started reminiscing about the Latin dances I've seen on my travels - tango, samba and salsa, the brightly colored dresses, expressive movements, and rhythmic beats. The idea of getting back into a routine, playing golf and tennis, going into town and socializing with friends.the whole concept of movement made me think of dancing. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transaxle. The exhaust system was replaced and the heater box was refurbished at that time. The replacement 1.6L air-cooled flat-four was installed in April 2021. Corrosion is present on the floor, and the rear bench seats are missing. Luggage bars are installed on the hatch window and on the rear-most side windows. The rear compartment is outfitted with a removable bedframe, a rubber floor liner, and carpeted mats covering the cargo area. Approximately 153k miles were added under current ownership, and total mileage is unknown. The five-digit odometer shows 74k miles and is said to have rolled over. The two-spoke steering wheel wears a gold Wolfsburg-crest horn button and sits ahead of VDO instrumentation including an 80-mph speedometer and gauges for fuel level and cylinder head temperature. The removed front seats are included with the sale and are pictured in the gallery. Discoloration is visible on the trim panels and headliner, and the bulkhead that mounts behind the front seats is missing. Features include a black rubber floor liner, sliding door windows, a fire extinguisher, a clock, and an AM/FM cassette radio. The dashboard is finished in white, and the door panels and walls are trimmed in Parchment vinyl. The aftermarket front seats wear blue and black seat covers and feature folding armrests. The bus is equipped with four-wheel drum brakes. Steel 14″ wheels wear chrome VW-logo hubcaps and are wrapped in 215/70 Hankook H714 tires. The right windshield panel is cracked, the weatherstripping has deteriorated, and dents, scratches, and corrosion are visible on the body panels and bumpers. The body is finished in Sea Blue and Cumulus White, and features include white bumpers, a sliding fabric sunroof, six hinged side windows, and dual mirrors. This Type 2 Bus is now offered with manufacturer’s literature, service records, removed front seats, a jack, a spare wheel and tire, a fuel-filler door key, and a clean Oregon title in the seller’s name. Service in April 2021 included replacing the engine and the exhaust system as well as refurbishing the heater box. Equipment includes aftermarket front seats, a sliding fabric sunroof, six hinged side windows, a removable rear bed frame, four-wheel drum brakes, 14″ steel wheels, and an AM/FM cassette radio. The bus is finished in blue and white over a white interior and is powered by a replacement 1.6L flat-four paired with a four-speed manual transaxle. This 1966 Volkswagen Type 2 is a 21-window Deluxe model that was purchased by the seller in 1976, reportedly from the first owner in Idaho.
